Listen to a document

Choose Edit → Speech → Start Speaking to read the rendered document aloud. If you select text in the document first, GlyphGlance reads only that selection. Choose Edit → Speech → Stop Speaking to stop immediately.

Speech uses your macOS voice and speaking preferences from System Settings → Accessibility → Read & Speak. Active assistive technology can supply its own speech settings. GlyphGlance does not override these with a separate voice or speed setting.

For a higher-quality voice, select an Enhanced or Premium voice in the System voice menu. Use the adjacent info button to download a voice if needed; downloading it alone does not select it. Stop and restart reading after changing the system voice.

Starting speech in another document replaces the current reading. Closing the speaking document or changing its Markdown profile or content language stops it. These commands are available in opened GlyphGlance documents, not Finder Quick Look.
