Rich previews
Markdown previews support tables, task lists, links, mathematics, and syntax-highlighted code. Mermaid diagrams work as standalone files or inside Markdown code fences. When a document is open in GlyphGlance, select the enlarge button below a Mermaid diagram to show it in a separate display-sized window; press Escape to close it. Finder Quick Look intentionally omits this app-only control.
Use the Markdown Variant menu in the toolbar when a document needs a specific Markdown dialect. Leave it on Automatic for normal use.
If a Mermaid diagram contains a typo
GlyphGlance can recover from an unescaped semicolon in a sequence-diagram message or note. It checks the adjustment before showing the diagram and displays a short notice below it. Expand Description and source below the diagram to see the unchanged text. Your file is never modified.
Other errors, such as a missing branch or closing statement, still need to be corrected in the source document. GlyphGlance shows the original error instead of guessing what the diagram should mean.
